This hasn't worked for me in ages. Anyone else having problems? I know a couple of us were but I've heard nobody complain since then.

It wont work for iprimus users Spiffy, I cant remember why, hopefully Tim will see this and copy and paste the reasoning and how to fix it because I cant remember and cant get back on there to check :)

Yeah, there's an issue with iPrimus and AR Internet it seems since they upgraded their proxy server. They themselves say there's no problem (well, they did to me anyway) but there's aparrently a fix that may help:

Go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Internet Options

Go to the Connections tab

Click on your iPrimus connection and click the settings button

In the Proxy server bit, tick "use proxy server" and in the address box, type:

proxy.iprimus.com.au

and in the Port type:

8080

Put a tick in the "Bypass proxy server..." checkbox under that.

Next, click the Advanced button.

Right down the bottom is the Exceptions box. Put this in there:

.ar.com.au

Don't forget the first dot before the ar there!

This has worked for some people but not for others. Give it a go and see if it helps. (Thanx for the info there, Nawar!)

Hmmm...

That's weird - I dunno why it works for some people and not others... And iPrimus aren't helping any with suggestions...

I'll contact AR and see if they can do anything, but I doubt it - it really sounds like it's something on iPrimus's end...

it's working fine for me once i added it ...
the moment i untick the proxy thingn , it doesn't work , i don't understand why they have the AR server in there filtering system  , but make sure you make it pass the local servers for proxy ..... worst case , use it through altavitsa's translator ...
but i sent a formal complaint to IPrimus about it , and they emailed me back telling me it's the proxy upgrade to there servers ... "if you call there helpdesk they'd tell you that it's working fine lol " and give you no answers , but yeah ... i added it and it's working fine ...
if not ... make sure that you are using the new Dial up numbers for your plane ...
they have changed the numbers , and the old ones will stop working by the end of the year i guess ....
just go to dial up number locator and find yours :D

remember to update your number , cause it has a proxy port locator ....
now i'm not too sure , but they could have different prxy ports for different parts of Auss , or just the different plans , so give it a try ... ;)

Cheers
