What was the best live DVD of the year? For me its between Testament Live in London..or of course Alive 2. Alive 2 had a way better interview section. Testaments setlist was better though..so a tie. Opinions?

:rock:Best DVD 2005!

Rush R30 kicks ass.

Alive 2 was nice, but whoever directed it needs to be kicked in the teeth. Cameras were held sideways. Picture got blury. Camera operators are seen far too many times. You can see the edges of an external lense on a camera at one point when it's zoomed out. It makes me mad and I can't watch it.

So then thats what the CD is for..no video cameras;)

A few good ones this year. I was happy to finally get that show of Nailbomb, I Maiden The Early Years Pt 1 was pretty good.

U2 Vertigo Tour 2005 Live In Chicago

Easy.....SODOM ""lords of depravity part 1" is THE thrash metal refence DVD this year! never seen such a good documentary and the concert movie also kicks butt!

Alive 2 would be second, the new TESTAMENT DVD third and the new TANKARD DVD fourth.

Space...yeah, that SODOM is a great DVD - I've just reviewed my review copy for live4metal, and it was clearly one that was meant to provide maximum value for money. I realy enjoyed Alive 2, but the new Candlemass DVD was killer, the Motorhead DVD this year was awesome but...

overall winner for me has to be THE CROWN - 14 years of no tomorrow - it would be my no.1 music DVD of all time were it not for those pesky fellers from CARCASS some time ago!

Great sound in the SODOM dvd though!

Sepultura Live In Sao Paulo was good too. I reckon the Sacred Reich dvd would have kicked arse if it was released as advertised.

Anthrax - Alive 2
G3 - Live in Tokyo
Primus - Hallucinogenetics (i know the show was in 04, but i think it was released 05)
