I say chords, orr take lessons, i took lessons for 7 years and i learned chords, scales, the works... tbph guitarpro and such is kinda
tastic.... i say go with the basics man, chord it up, then learn scales and you're set... you need rythm too

I can fumble my way through Credence well enough. I can't play terribly fast yet, so I start with the slower songs. Of course, it helps that I really like that one.

I always thought, for a heavier song in it's entirety, White Cluster was pretty easy. Same with The Funeral Portrait.
