Programs: Every program for Windows has its Mac equivalent, and the Mac version is often better.

$: A Mac is only about 2-3 times more expensive, last time i checked, and it will definitely last more than 3 times as long as a PC (where PC = computer with Windows OS), so in the end it's cheaper.
