EQ before pre

How many here use an EQ before the preamp to shape the guitar input.

I never really tried it till recently and found it made options a plenty

Pretty much everyone, but they use a TS9/TS7/TS808 or something similar.

I tried the tubescream a while ago but sold it as I just didnt get what i wanted out of it. Maybe cause i dont like it too djent I guess.

I prefer am old behringer parametric then I can add more low mids

I've tried it before, but not with a tubescream, but with an eq to make the eq changes more subtle so that you don't drastically effect the sound you're after.

I do.
I prefer it over tubescreamers simply because it wont compress my sound any more then what the amp already is.
