yes. it's not very likely that the netherlands or italy are that desolate. what's everyone's guess for the match later?

i am guessing italy 1 : netherlands 1 (but i havent seen the dutchies play in quite some time so i might be way off)

It's a really hard one to guess. Italy have a good squad, but Holland do too. I'd say Italy at a push, but I really don't know.

Many teams are putting on some lacklustre performances in the first game so I'm expecting Italy and Holland to do the same. Draw sounds likely.

You can say that about everyone when compared to Italy! They love defending.

Our coverage of the Championships are on two channels and this game is on the worse channel - bad commentators, awful studio discussions and LOADS of ad breaks. Already upset the game a bit.

We have a million breaks during half time and the before/after talk. None during the match itself.

Italy have some good attackers, so hopefully it won't be too bad.

Germany have looked one of the best so far. Them and Portugal.

I think Germany have an easy run to the final if they play at their best.

Portugal have goalie and strikes issues, other than they are great. Germany seems great overall however.. especially in midfield and forward positions.

This guy di Natale seems pretty cool. Camoranesi and Pirlo seems to be in playing mode too. Best thing would be if Holland scores, forcing Italy to go offensive.

Di Natale is a good player, as are Camoranesi and Pirlo. Gattuso battles in the midfield, which should leave the others get further up the pitch. Toni is a deadly goal scorer too, so if they can get a good ball in there then he can score. Their defence and goalkeeper are exceptional, too.

Holland are missing a few players through injury, but they still have a pretty good team on the pitch. I want to see Van der Vaart do something, because he's rated really highly.

Buffon was too smart for him, he managed to block him but make it a really difficult penalty to give if he had went down.
