met em all at TAC...first (kinda) was pyrus, saw him standing at some table, walked up and introduced myself and talked to him for a moment, but (i find out later) it was so loud he didnt even know it was me....then tried to say hi to Karen also, but she was behind the barier (oh la dee da) and didnt hear me and probably said "yeh whatever loser" so i wandered around for awhile and then i was standing in line at the bar and who gets in line right behind me? why, its the dead lioness and some other chick who's name i forgot! so im like "hey karen, its neal" and she looks at me like im a friggin idiot, and all i can really think of to describe myself further is "uhh neal from uhhh ya know neal from UM" (i ate some super chronic weed chocolate thing before i came, and this wasnt my first trip to the bar) and so then she figures it out and we chat for a minute blah blah, so then i went outside and met maheret, and then later i met her bf and kinda brooks and pyrus again but they didnt know who i was and i didnt know that was brooks either. and thats it thus far. i know you said list not story, but too bad jerky.

Teaching. I was in my office the other evening meditating. (I slept the entire day with a head cold and went into work around 5pm to finish some things).
Around 7pm the head of my department walked into my office with a visiting professor to introduce him to me. Deep in meditation, I said a few words (that i'd feel embarrassed sharing) and paused for a long moment before jumping up to introduce myself.
After about two hours of chit-chat, the fellow offered me a job come summer, If I was interested.
