Exodus...Big Four?

ewwwwww the horror... :puke: best studio career? hell no...

Well, personal tastes. For me, Anthrax with John Bush are far better than with Belladona and playing live... no discussion! John Bush is god :headbang:. In my opinion:

Fistful of metal: 7,5/10
Spreading the disease: 8,5
Among the living: 9
State of Euphoria: 6
Persistence of time: 6
Sound of white noise: 9
Stomp 442: 7
Volume 8: 7
We´ve come for you all: 8,5

By the way, I listened some live stuff with new singer and :puke:

See we here disgarre big time. I never cared for the debut and I had "Stomp 442" because I got weak and some friends convinced me to have it, I soret of like it with the exception of 'Fueled' which is a great song.

So bascially for me will be:

"Spreding The Disease": 8.5
"Among The Living": 8.0
"State Of Euphoria": 9.0 (I think it's their most mature and well crafted album)
"Persistence Of Time": 8.0
"Stomp 442": 7.5

Fistful 10/10
Spreading 10
Among 7
State 5
Persistence 6
hereafter 0

Marco, Sabbat & Sodom are aweseom picks for the top too!

More and More I listen to Sodom and Destruction the more I think they are severly under rated and Exodus as well. Pleasures of the flesh is totally kick ass. I put it in the other day driving and a buddy of mine goes....Is this an old Metallica album I havent heard? I laughed for like five minutes. Exodus is awesome. Oh Fields of honor on Masquerade In Blood and Bullet In THe HEad are some of the best Thrash songs ever. Thank you Sodom

I would have to put EXCITER- Heavy Metal Maniac...it was released back in 1983. Classic stuff. And KREATOR & DESTRUCTION as well. Leave out ANTHRAX. *LOL*

The reason I didn't mention Exciter is because they're speed metal more than thrash, even there latest opus (and one of the top ten albums of 2008) "Thrash Speed Burn" is pure speed, not thrash despise the name. I know some people considered both as one sub-genre but if you listen at ease you'll find they're different: Exciter, Killers, Abattoir, Acid are to me archetypical speed bands not thrash.

true...but they had that one kinda slow song, except for the end of that song...Black Witch.

It wasn't all speed. Iron Dogs, was more mid tempo. Thats one of my fave tracks.:kickass:

'Black Witch' it's a great song :headbang:, but overall even if they had why you can call mid-tempo or slow songs they're a speed band by all means, at least the first 4 albums and the new one. I don't know about the stuff after "Unveiling The Wicked" and prior to "Thrash Speed Burn"

I always considered AGENT STEEL- 'Skeptics Apocolypse', a speed metal album...even the first DARK ANGEL album, 'Darkness Descends' is what, played about 1000 mph...???*LOL*. Both were great IMO.

That big four thing is total bullshit anyway. It's just a matter of opinion at the end of the day. I'd rate Overkill over any of the big four anyway.
