Expanding the Saffire Pro 40?

I'd like to (need to) up my input capabilities. Can you run two Saffires in conjunction (i.e. daisy-chain through firewire) or is the OctoPre a better option? And how do they interface? Through ADAT? Had a search for some answers to this query but had no joy.
