Experience Meeting AA At Show Last Night

The reason I had left early was because I have already seen them place twice. And besides it was worth it because while we waited for the show to end we sat beside the door to backstage and we could see Children of Bodom playing on stage and the sound was much better than when we were inside the concert hall.

I'm sorry to dissapoint you, but I heard something about Soilwork or Trivium supporting CoB here in Europe, but maybe I'm just out of my mind... The tickets are cheap though.

shit that would suck. but Trivium are really not well known in france so i'm gonna hope they dont try to get well known by playing first part.

Well I bought Versus The World today with the bonus disc (Victorious March, Mini-CD Sorrow Throughout the Nine Worlds, Arrival of the Fimbul Winter demo and Thor Arise demo) and I must say, both CDs are UNBELIEVABLE.

I won't start a new thread, I'll ask here instead:

What other bands do you recommend that sing about Vikings or is called Viking metal... Pretty much another similiar to Amon Amarth!

AA is not Viking metal.. its melodic death metal with viking oriented lyrics.
viking metal by definition is black metal with folk elements and viking lyrics and shit such as Bathory, Enslaved, Einherjer, Thyrfing and all.
if you want death metal with viking lyrics check out Unleashed.

One band which is very similar to AA is Battlesword.
They fucking rule and I can't wait to hear their new material. But their lyrics aren't about vikings...just about warriors and battles - but good.
Check them out: http://www.battlesword.de
Great band!

And when you like the older AA stuff you should check out Obscurity.
They make Pagan/Viking Metal with a touch of Death.
Load stuff from their Turisaz album.
