To this day, My Arms, Your Hearse is still my favorite. Maybe it was because it was my first? I don't know. In fact, I wonder how many of us will choose the first Opeth cd that we heard...

I just received Morningrise about a week ago and haven't listened to it except once. Why? Because I am still listening to Opeth's first cd...They are like a fine wine to me, I don't want to drink it too fast.

Orchid. Cause it was first and... well, I haven't listened to other albums _yet_.
I'll get the others someday but I don't like to start listening to more than one album by same band at time. There has to be at least about approximately 2-3 months between 2 albums by same band for me.

I mean that's only about albums that are new to me. I can listen to many albums by same band if I already know the albums and have listened to it much.

As with most bands when you first hear them and get instantly addicted, I would say Morningrise, as it was the first album I got.

I'm someone who appreciates music more than lyrics (still like lyrics though!), and I just adore acoustic mixed with electric guitars ..... and the epic feeling I get from To Bid You Farewell and Black Rose Immortal.....
