I have to go with Morningrise, the bridge is just beautiful. Allthough the "mood" on the D1 and 2 covers are amazing.

hahahah a map? thats a good idea for a cover. have a map to burried tresure. and try to make the music and lyrics have the least possible to do with the map.

I'd have to go with My Arms, Your Hearse & Still Life because there both very dark & evil.

I never really looked at Still Lifes cover as evil considering that there's a cross, but maybe there's some meaning that I missed.

If it hadn't been for the still life cover, I'd probably not be an Opeth fan right now. (Still Life was my first album, and I just picked it up because I felt in love with the cover -it's kind of mysterious)

I would have designed a gore type of cover, because that's what they want.

When I looked at the Still Life cover I always thought that the woman was Mary crying for Jesus. It looks as if there is someone hanging on the cross in the reflection of the water. Just my thoughts though.

In an old interview I read (right after the release of SL) Mike said that the reflection of the cross in the water was a man. So your "theory" is partly right. :Spin:
