By Cradle of Filth - The Twisted Nails Of Faith

"Mirror, mirror on the wall
Shouldst not grave pleasures be my all?
For if I shall see thy Will be done
Grant Me the Witchcraft of thy tongue"

Three moondials froze in the shadow of six
As another soul passed to the grasping Styx
Clutching their trinket crucifix
Bats blew from eaves in a dissonant surge
Omens of corruption from within the church
A fetid, dank oasis still clung to fool rebirth

Alone as a stone cold altar
The castle and its keep
Like faerytale dominion rose
A widow to the snow peaks
Wherein reclined the Countess
Limbs purring from the kill
Bathed in virgin white and like the night
Alive and young and unfulfilled

Was it the cry of a wolf
That broke the silver thread of enchanted thoughts?
Of Her life as a mere reflection
(As the moon's in narrow windows caught)
That opened like dark eyelids on
The sigh of the woods that the wind fell upon

Like a Siren weaving song
From the lilt of choirs choking
Where the vengeful dead
Belong...

To the Sorceress and Her charnel arts
She swept from ebon towers at the hour of Mars
'Neath a star-inwoven sky latticed by scars
To unbind knotted reins that kept in canter, despair
Shod on melancholy, fleet to sanctuary there,
In netherglades tethered where onyx idols stared

Was it the Kiss of the mist
That peopled the air with the prowess of absinthe?
Lost souls begging resurrection
From Gods upon their forest plinths
Whose epitaphs read of re-ascending to win
Remission from despair through a holocaust of sin

In a tongue hilted in invective rectums
Over signs and seals the sorceress prayed
To Death, to rend the slender veil
That Ancient Ones might rise again

As shadows swelled
The Countess fell
To masturbating with Her dagger
As the Witch gabbled spells
Cumming heavy roses all the way to Hell
As sudden thunder's grue harangue
Announced two pincered worlds

Exuding bane, something came
With the stench of necrophiled graves
To these clandestines
Who shrank from glimpsing horror
That the growls of mating houls inclined...

Resplendent
In pendants
(Natal trophies torn from bellies of desanctified nuns)
A demons, bewinged, bedight
In scum, prowled their circle seeking entry to run
An arctic tongue upon Her vulva
Where rubies smeared to alabaster thighs
Glittered like a contract in the purse of a whore
Receiving sole communion from the body of christ

"If blood is what thou carves, foul fiend
I will yield this witch to thee
If thou wouldst draw a veil for Me
O'er lengthening scars of age and grief"

As the Demon slavered foetid vows
And bore His prey away
In talons itching to perpetrate
The nausea of eternal rape
The Sorceress screaming in His grasp
Spat a final curse to stain
The Countess with the promise
That Her lord at war would be cruelly slain

And She would rot.
Alone
Insane.
On the twisted nails of faith.

THIS is the greatest lyrical song ever written in my mind

Hey spawn, don't get too excited, she hugs everyone! :p

And yes, the lyrics to Endless Sacrifice are quite amazing.... mind you, I find alot of the lyrics to Honour Thy Father quite fitting in my current personal situation. Although it's got nothing to do with my father, some of the parts perfectly describe my woman troubles!

Does anyone else think its funny that instead of telling me to go to hell and that the lyrics she posted had nothing to do with me, Wenda gave me a hug? :dopey:

No, it wasn't about you; but I thought it must be such a huge sacrifice for you to forgive me of being a Bronco, you deserved the hug :D

Dream Theater - Honour Thy Father said:
But nothing could lure you out of your selfish shell again
Expecting everyone to bow and kiss your feet
Don't you see respect is not a one way street
Blaming everyone for all that you've done wrong
Oh so fitting! And I bet everyone here knows someone they'd like to say those lines to!

Dream Theater - Losing Time/Grand Finale said:
She dresses in black everyday
She keeps her hair simple and plain
She never wears makeup
But no one would care if she did anyway

She doesn't recall yesterday
Faces seem twisted and strange
But she always wakes up
Only to find she'd been miles away

Absence of awareness
Losing time
A lapse of perception
Losing time

Wanting to escape
She had created a way to survive
She learned to detach from herself
A behavior that kept her alive

Hope in the face of our human distress
Helps us to understand the turbulence deep inside
That takes hold of our lives
Shame and disgrace over mental unrest
Keeps us from saving those we love
The grace within our hearts
And the sorrow in our souls
Deception of fame
Vengeance of war
Lives torn apart
Losing oneself
Spiraling down
Feeling the walls closing in
A journey to find
The answers inside
Our illusive mind
As much as I love Finally Free and In The Name of God, I still think this song was the best album closer. I don't know why, maybe Wenda can help.......

Oh shit yes. That's such a powerful song, it makes up for a lot of the weaknesses in the rest of 6DoIT. Depending on how I'm feeling, it can be a bit too powerful - it hits far too close to my thoughts about myself sometimes - it's actually made me break down in tears a couple of times.

Yeah I agree. It is a pretty powerful way to close out the album. I love the part from when James starts singing <<Hope in the face of our human distress >> untill the end of the song. That just sounds magical! I think Jordan's presence on the song is what really makes it sound so majestical.

Fucking :headbang:

And now something to cheer us all up!

Anthrax - Friggin' in the Riggin'

[font=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]There was a bunch of roadies
And this here is their story
A scurvy bunch of evil twits
Who never say they're sorry

They've traveled cross the nations
Fuckin' paid vacations
We love the schism that they make
They're here for the duration

Friggin' in the riggin'
Friggin' in the riggin'
Friggin' in the riggin'
There was fuck all else to do

The captains name is Rick
Whose "Bozo-do" is slick
He really thinks he knows it all
He's just a Jersey hick

Wanking, cranking, Georgie
He always finds an orgy
He rubs his balls and picks his nose
He's horny Georgie porgie

Friggin' in the riggin'
Friggin' in the riggin'
Friggin' in the riggin'
There was fuck all else to do

The kind of sleaze is Ring
Polaroid's his thing
He whipped it out, her teeth fell out
And now it's in a sling

From LA we have Troy
His fetish is Playboy
A smelly trout, he'll eat it out
Go wash your hands you're M.O.I.

Friggin' in the riggin'
Friggin' in the riggin'
Friggin' in the riggin'
There was fuck all else to do

John Tempesta is The Joker
The Adams apple choker
Sandra Bernhard is his twin
He'd probably even poke her

The B-boy was John Rooney
He was a fuckin' loony
He does a rap, he thinks he's black
He's soft like Gerry Cooney

Friggin' in the riggin'
Friggin' in the riggin'
Friggin' in the riggin'
There was fuck all else to do

Yo my name is Bill
Dur, bouncing is my skill, duh,
Smoke ten packs and use my plaque
Duh, with my breath I'll kill

Thursby is the lard ass
The monitors are his task
The sound they made when the band played
Was like Ed Trunk with bad gas

Friggin' in the riggin'
Friggin' in the riggin'
Friggin' in the riggin'
There was fuck all else to do

The photobug is Ambo
He'll fill up any hairy hole
We'll blindfold you with dental floss
You burnt out fuckin' bimbo

The bottom line is Z
Oh please don't sit on me
Go wipe your hemorrhoid ridden butt
You 1960's hippie!

Friggin' in the riggin'
Friggin' in the riggin'
Friggin' in the riggin'
There was fuck all else to do

This here was the story
About our fuckin' roadies
A scurvy bunch of evil twits
Who never say they're sorry
They've traveled cross the nations
Fuckin' paid vacations
We love the schism that they make
They're here for the duration

Friggin' in the riggin'
Friggin' in the riggin'
Friggin' in the riggin'
There was fuck all else to do

I see...

She hugs everyone Todd? Im not some kind of floosy people can just walk up to and hug when they feel like it you know! In the words of Lurleen Lovett, dont look up my dress unless you mean it.

Mankind in his insatiable search for divine
Knowledge has discarded all biblical teachings

Realizing that the strength of religion is the repression of
knowledge
All structures of religion have collapsed

Life prays for death
in the wake of the horror of these revelations

It was never imagined how graphic the reality that would
be known as the end
of creation
Would manifest itself

We believe all this chaos and atrocity can be traced
Back to one single event We hold these truths to be painfully self-evident
All men are not created equal
Only the strong will prosper
Only the strong will conquer
Only in the darkness of Christ have I realized
God Hates Us All
Darkness Of Christ by Slayer. Technically not a song as such, but its close enough :headbang:

For me it's the way he cries out 'Looooooooosing....tiiiiiiiiime' in the chorus, that really gets me :)

Ok then maybe she doesn't hug everyone.... if I say anymore she'll prolly fly down here and kill me!
Haha I had the best joke about your recent problems with women to put here, but it was rather insulting to Wenda so I didnt write it, but can you laugh all the same as if I actually DID post it?
