What are everybody's favourite cover songs? (by any band of any band)

Mine are:
Anthrax - She (Kiss)
Skid Row - C'Mon & Love Me (Kiss)
Helloween - I Stole Your Love (Kiss)
Cradle Of Filth - Hallowed Be Thy Name (Iron Maiden)
Earth - Children Of The Grave (Black Sabbath)
Bruce Dickinson - Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (Black Sabbath)
Iced Earth - Electric Funeral (Black Sabbath)
Iced Earth - The Ripper (Judas Priest)
Iced Earth - Shooting Star (Bad Company)
Blind Guardian - The Wizard - Uriah Heep
Blind Guardian - Beyond The Realms Of Death (Judas Priest)
Jimi Hendrix - All Along The Watchtower (Bob Dylan)
Guns N Roses - Knockin On Heaven's Door (Bob Dylan)
Demons & Wizards - White Room (Cream)
Warrant - Photograph (Def Leppard)

WORST COVER SONGS NOW:
Tool - Calling Dr. Love (Kiss) ... what is going on there!!!
Toad The Wet Sprocket - Rock N Roll All Nite (Kiss) .... why would you make that song a slow ballad!!!! Wrong wrong wrong!
Cradle Of Filth - Hell Awaits (Slayer) ... boring, crap, idiotic.
Nirvana - Do You Love Me (Kiss) .... a fun Kiss song gone grunge just isn't right!

That's all that is in my head right now, I will probably also have millions more, lol.

Faves:

Iron Maiden - Crosseyed Mary (Jethro Tull)
Iron Maiden - Communication Breakdown (Led Zepplin)
Blind Guardian - Surfin' USA (? - Beach Boys maybe?)
Anthrax (I think) - Wipeout (?)
Slayer - Inna Gadda Da Vidda (Iron Butterfly)
Bruce Dickinson - God's Not Comming Back (?)
Tori Amos - Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana)
Ozzy - Purple Haze (Jimi Hendrix)

Not Faves:

That guy with the spiky hair that sang "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" (serious brain fade at the moment, sorry) - Downtown Train (Tom Waits)
There's some pretty ordinary Maiden Tribute albums out there as well

The Good

Eighteen (Alice Cooper) - Don Dokken, John Norum, Bob Kulick, Tim Bogert, Gregg Bissonette

Billion Dollar Babies (Alice Cooper) - Phil Lewis, George Lynch, Bob Kulick, Stu Hamm, Vinnie Colaiuta, Derek Sherinian

Mr Crowley (Ozzy Osbourne) - Mr Owens, Mr Malmsteen, Mr Bogert, Mr Aldridge, Mr Sherinian

Crazy Train (Ozzy) - Dee Snider, Doug Aldrich, Tony Levin, Jason Bonham

Anarchy In The UK (Sex Pistols) - Megadeth

God Save The Queen (Sex Pistols) - Motorhead

Rapid Fire (Judas Priest) - Testament

Seek and Destroy (Metallica) - Chuck Billy and others

The Bad

That's in the 'good' section, by the way! Thought I'd mention that... although I could have just edited my last post. Hmm. Oh well, too late for that!

Sydo you must have the Ozzy Tribute Album "Bats Head Soup" I think thats what is called. Is it any good.

My fave of all time is the Young Ones - Living Doll with a quick Cliff Richard cameo throwen in.

Yes I do. :)

The two tracks I mentioned are great, as are the versions of Hellraiser and Shot In The Dark.

But 4 great tracks out of 11 is not a good average. :(

Not that the others suck, (only Goodbye To Romance does), they just aren't that good.

The Alice Cooper tribute is much better.
Infact, it's the sole reason I got into Alice! And then Dokken, Dio and Twisted Sister.
:D
