This band is an absolute MUST for most of the people on this forum. They're a UK band and their debut EP is to be released by Nothern Silence (this label just gets better and better) in October. Check out the two songs on their MySpace page, they are absolutely fantastic. I think they sound like a more black metal version of Pale Folklore, although that's pretty much an awful description:

Really, really impressive stuff.

Seriously, that first track "The Gales Scream of Loss" is the most amazing thing I've heard in a long time.

Haha, well I might have gotten a bit carried away, but I do think they sound bloody good.

I messaged them on myspace a couple months ago asking for a demo or something to review for UM, but they said no since they're working on something a bit more official

it's good, but there's a very distinct feeling of "these song structures and chords have been used over and over again"

(even in my music hahaha) but right, its good

edit: i don't know... it just starts to sound like Negura Bunget/Agalloch after a while

Good stuff! :kickass:

It's a pretty decent 2007 release of three songs. The band hail from England and to put it simply enough, they play pagan metal. It's typical RC fanfare in that dark, ambient, heathenistic manner.

I can't get to their myspace from work but here is the link: http://www.myspace.com/fenband I assume they have a sample or 2.

I have to say - the song up on Myspace bored me to tears. Obviously it's only one song and the sound quality on Myspace sucks, but what I heard didn't even come close to standing out and was basically a monotone snooze fest.
