Finntroll - Jaktens Tid

Listened to Jaktens Tid for the 2nd time through this morning. Just bought it at The End for $12.

I've got all Finntroll. Great stupid fun, those guys. My favorite is Jaktens Tid. Midnattens Widunder is also worth a purchase. Visor Om Slutet is iffy. It's cool for mellowing out, but isn't really essential, though there is at least one stunning song on it.

I personally think the Trollhammaren EP is better than Nattfodd. Nattfodd is a huge disappointment.

Being a fan of the JT/MW sound, I didn't get the same vibe from Nattfodd. It more less drunken sounding and not nearly as fun, but more serious, and at times reminded me of Children of Bodom.

The Trollhammaren EP, though, took the best songs from Nattfodd, plus some others, and thus, was much better.

Maybe having that band member die had something to do with Nattfodd's less fun atmosphere.
