Firewire question?

Hey, i know that there are a lot of questions about this but, I got a new laptop and I would love to have a M-Audio Profire 2626, the problem is that it has no expansion slots.

Is there any salvation for this?

The thing here is, I would like to have an interface, at least 8 channels, but in the profire case it has ADAT so someday I would be able to expand it.
Also I would like to have the possibility to use Pro-Tools (yes I know, the 9 supports all interfaces, but it's too expensive).

Is Fast Track Ultra 8R the only solution?

Motu have a couple of options with USB , as do RME, but if you want pro tools M powered, you'll need M-audio. In that case, the Ultra is the only option.
