First album you owned?

I think it was an ATB album, given to me as a gift by my cousin. Good album, to be honest.

First one I bought for myself was Fallen by Evernesence (or whoever you spell it). It was cheap, and I liked the cover. Shame about the contents, but that's what you get if you don't try before you buy.

First album I bought that wasn't cheap was Reign in Blood by Slayer. Cost me £14 or so, I believe. But damn it was worth it.

First Death Metal album was Gallery of Suicide by Cannibal Corpse. Or The Wretched Spawn, can't remember.

First Black Metal album was In The Nightside Ecilpse by Emperor.

oddly enough, this was the first tape that i bought. i was in 2nd or 3rd grade. its kinda creepy actually. i loved MJ when i was a kid. i guess he would have loved me too!

my cousin recorded spice girls over one side of it like before I even got to hear that side.....

That album came out the year I was born so I suppose I got 'into metal' early.

The thing is stuff that came next: Vigin in the air tonight (with stuff like the Friends theme tune on, if that's the right tape)

No loss. While structurally flawed, that album is great.

If you knew my disdain for Maiden in general, you'd have understood. Not to mention, I believe this is their worst work, so that really doesn't bode well for it.
