I wanted to test my new LL Redeye that i bought from a forum member here and since i had some time off in the studio, i gathered these four amps to give it a test. So, let me know what you think. Cheers

***all amps were boosted with the Ibanez TS9 with some standard settings.***

EDIT: I forgot to say that i used a mesa straight cab mic'd with a 57 about an inch from the grill and through an API 212

gut feeling is that i prefer the JSX the most, however, i do think with some different tone dialing in the bogner would sound awesome, but i don't think its generally suited to this type of riffing and more chord, slower paced stuff (AiC)

yeah...the bogner sounded weird to me too...but it has that something that quite a few people like. If i have the chance i want to re do it and tweeak it a little more. I mean, it's a pretty damn expensive amp to sound bad.

JSX, Recto, Soldano, Uber for me, with the JSX and Recto further upfront than the smaller (IMO) sounding SLO and honky/small sounding Uber.

JSX sounded too boomy to me, Bogner was weak almost lower gain setting JCM sounding to me. That kind of surprised me since in person the uber was capable of some brutal sounds.

Mesa, Soldano, Bogner (I personnally loved its more cutting sound although it also sounded a bit too narrow compared to the other amps), JSX (muddy as hell )
