Blind amp shootout (Marshall, Peavey, Mesa, Bugera)

A was really honky; surprised so many people voted for it. It also has an obnoxious sheath of fizz on top. I honestly think if 4 were a little louder, and it had a bump around 400hz, it would sound best in a mix, at least.

Well, I did record it as the first amp, so...

1 would be the best if I'd had to pick one, I'm guessing that's the recto because of the dominant low mids.

Yup, but the preamp gain was at max.

nº1 and nº2 are the best sounding. Nº1 es Peavey Windsor, Nº2 is Mesa Dual Rectifier.

Number 7 sounds the best to me. My guess is it's the 333 or Recto.

Bet that's the culprit, I've always found the boost on the windsor to really punt the mids forward in a bad way.
