First Ever Possible UM Trade Day

Dude, the US Postal Service was going to charge me fucking $13.60 to mail this shit to Onder. Is that a normal rate for international mail, or is the USPS just ripping me off and I could do it cheaper through another carrier?

I mean, I'm not trying to be a cheapskate about this thing, but goddamn. I may be having second thoughts about this if it's going to cost that much.

That's way too much. Remember when someone posted an article about how the USPS was going to stop verbally offering cheaper services and try to upsell? I think you are a victim of that. First Class International for 1 CD in a case is usually less than $2 to Canada and somewhere between $3 and $6 for most other places.

I just checked their website, and the price listed there is $1.20. I think I just talked to a dipshit at the post office I went to who didn't know what they were doing. I guess I'll have to try again later today or tomorrow.

edit @ ack: Maybe. I'm not really sure what that's all about, but next time I go there I'll reference their website to make sure they don't fuck around with me again.

What is the packaging like? How are you shipping this?

It was just a slightly-larger-than-normal envelope. As far as the rate, I don't know where the clerk was getting those figures, but she was saying that $13.60 was the standard first-class rate for mail to the Czech Republic. But as I said, the website says otherwise.

I posted that article. Just tell them you want standard first class mail and it shouldn't be more than 5 dollars. Just ask for a manager if they get uppity

Czech postal service says about 25Kč to send this to US and that's like 1,5USD so there must be some mistake yeah.
