First time I record guitars with sm57+md421

Hi!
I recently bought a MD421 and tried blending it with the sm57. I tried something different to the usual blend of the two signals, I used the MD421 for the bass and midrange, and sm57 for highs.

For the sm57, I put a HPF at 1,4 Khz and for md421 a LPF at the same 1,4 Khz. So I use the md421 for lows and mids, and the sm57 for highs. I think this allows to have a good balance between bass and treble, raising or lowering the level of one of the mics, without using an equalizer. As a result I think the guitar sounds very smooth.

Very good and decent sound!
Similar idea is to use 3 mics.
One behind the speaker (open back amps), one for mids and the last mic for highs.

I mean I remove all the low end in the sm57 track, and all the high end in the md421 track.
I did that because I didn't like the high-mid bump that md421 has, so I use the low and low mid information for the md421 and add the high mid and high freq. with the sm57 (sorry if I didn't explain well, English is not my native language)
