I haven't heard any Iron & Wine, Elliot Smith, or Roy Harper, but these two are absolutely at least equal to Drake.

"The Best of Leonard Cohen" aka "Greatest Hits" for Cohen, though I haven't heard enough of him yet
 
Different from nearly all the above..but my favourite (post 70s) folk rock album is:

Full of "i want to dance naked in the woods" melodies and rhythms though, so i don't know how much you are into that "happy" material.

I have "Songs of Love and Hate" from Cohen and it's f'ing excellent. Forgot to mention him in my initial post. I'll check out the other one though. Thanks.
