Then what you saw was probably an anamoly. Most of their stuff is basically melodeath with some folk sprinkled on top to taste, at least compared to a lot of other bands mentioned in this thread.

If you really need recommendations, make a lastFM profile page and add the (folk)bands you like to your "library" and see what recommendations you get.

Why hasn't anyone mentioned Heidevolk and Windir yet? =P If you like blackened folk metal, I know some more you might like
