For The Married MoFo's (or those in serious relationships, or anyone else)

Could've been a burn victim, a dead body, an amputee... Goddam I wanted to fuck.

hahaha ... no for me as well ... heck we just walked into the house and my chick literally said ... "I am beginning to feel jealous about this website"

Ooohhhh how many fights have we had about Royal Carnage
Let me count the ways

Anyone remember when I went on a three month hiatus? (Didn't think so)
That was on the wife's dare

SHOWED HER!

My lady is fairly tolerant of my music, even likes some of it, but it's really not a basis or factor in our relationship. More one of my many tastes/quirks she puts up with, and even supports to a large degree.

I don't think she actually believes I come to this website for music, intellectual, reading, and booze discussions though... oh well.

This is my lady's last week last.fm top 10

In Flames
Apocalyptica
Blind Guardian
Marilyn Manson
Black Sabbath
Megadeth
Russell Brower & Derek Duke
Dio
Opera IX
Eternal Tears of Sorrow

Pretty decent if you ask me :)

sometimes yes, sometimes no. Depends on the weather, stress levels, pending exams, etc.

But considering the size of her doom and black metal collections, I'll have to say yes.

Did it ever cause problems with your women and your music? My ex used to despise my music, which meant no music in the car or anywhere when she was around, and it pissed me off.

For both us, we could never be in a relationship where the music wasn't a shared interest... for both of us its a very important thing, its hard to explain, but its not just a "get pissed and headbang" thing, we both "need" our music.

Are your spouses, significant others, etc metal folk?
Not a fan, per say. She's a convert. When I met her, she was mostly into 70's Rock. I played Mindcrime when I picked her up on our first date, and began the conversion process. Now, in the car, we always listen to Metal. Though, I spare her anything with harsh vocals. That said, she doesn't mind going to see bands with harsh vocals, so long as they're energetic. She loves going to ProgPower, had a blast at Wacken, was looking forward to doing Metal Camp, as is psyched for Maiden in March.

That rules. My wife is ok with hair metal, I suppose. She loves Ratt and LA Guns and the like. She's basically that anti-harsh vocal & blazing speed type. She's more into Pearl Jam and U2, though. Pretty mainstream.
