For the POD owners

Ok I'm really thinking about getting a POD.
How does one record with these things? Like:
guitar-->POD--->Mic Pre--->Compressor--->Gate

Yup, the mic pre isn't used. The POD spits out line level, not mic level. Just hook the analog outputs into one of your audio interface's inputs.

The XTs (I'm not 100% about the POD 1.0 and 2.0) can record through USB also. I don't recommend it. USB was never meant for recording audio...I absolutely HATE USB audio interfaces.

I didn't realize it had a built in gate. I have an Old School Audio pre that has a line level in I should've mentioned that's what I intended to put the POD through.

If you are looking to buy one, I might be selling mine here soon.... It has all the model packs and works great. Spent a year in Iraq also, so it has a pretty neat history.... Let me know, buying used is always cheaper......

Keep me posted I'd be interested in a used one. If only we lived alittle closer to each other I'd come get it. Eastern PA is a lil far though
