Had to go with BRI here....I love both songs, and normally wouldn't choose, but Black Rose is just one of those songs that is unbelievable to listen to, in scope and diversity.

black rose immortal. I love the acoustic passages in that entire song, especially toward the end where there's a chord that separates the distortion and the clean acoustic tone. Amazing chord, amazing transition, and beautiful song.

Seriously, I honestly believe that Morningrise is one if not the best METAL ALBUM ever recorded.

As awesome as Forest is, Black Rose Immortal has some of my favorite Opeth in it, most notably the clean vocals and acoustic guitars that come in about mid-way.

IMO, orchid > morningrise
i'm listening to orchid now, and it hit me like a ton of bricks.
orchid and MR have sorta been on the same level, maybe i liked orchid a bit more, but it's certain now that i favor orchid more.
orchid is just so fucking powerful, beautiful, and those damn guitar harmonies, solos, drums, everything. just sounds a lot better than MR to me.
