Just an idea for the forum.
How about a read-only sub-section where threads that prove extremely useful (like Oz's drum recording guide and Andy's speaker comparisons) can be archived for posterity once they've run their course. This should mean they're easier to find (even with search it can take ages to find a particular post).
As a criteria for archiving, it could be limited to posts that a certain amount of people have nominated for archiving.
Having it read only would mean that it wouldn't get filled up with junk too.
What do you thing? Is this possible or even a good idea?
