from Damnation? or just a PT song?

From the Porcupine Tree boards, in reference to an "In Absentia Sessions track" :

"most probably you downloaded the demo version of Cut Ribbon (or something like that), which has the line "collapse the light into the earth" but it's a non PT song by Steven Wilson, part of a metal project he's working on ."

Could it be something from Damnation called "Cut Ribbon?"


Anyone heard this song or seen it?

Seeing as Damnation isn't a metal project, I doubt it.

I've got what I believe to be that song, it's definitely Steven Wilson and it has the line "Collapse the light into the earth." It's heavy compared to most PT stuff, but it's not anything like what Damnation has been described as, so, I think it's just some sort of Steven Wilson obscurity, nothing to do with Opeth.
