)It's not rap and hip hop that are the problems... it's the fact that they have been integrated into the mainstream and that gangster rap bands are a dime a dozen these days.
I've heard good rap songs... good lyrics, good beat... but it doesn't happen often. You wanna hear how crazy rap gets, download Alphabetic Aerobiocs by Blackalicious. If you aren't impressed, you're fucking gay.
Talent is talent... different music is for different moods and people. But it's true enough that with working vocal cords, half a brain, and a cheap synthesizer -anybody- can make rap songs. Whether or not you can freestyle is something else. It's hard. As hell. And I bet nobody (save maybe two or three) in here could do it. Oh well just thought I'd clarify this.
