I'm new to this band, does anyone have any recommendations for which albums I should look into/avoid?

I only have Repeater and The Argument, which are both good, but all of their discography is supposed to be of a high quality.
You also might like the previous band that Ian Mackaye was in before Fugazi... the band is Minor Threat ....

In On The Kill Taker and Red Medicine are my personal favorites, but you can't really go wrong with any of their albums.

I don't know...I get a certain vibe from the term "post-punk." I think Fugazi or early U2 or any band that takes a punk template and stretches it. It's hard to explain.
Post-grunge would be Nickelback or Puddle of MuddPuke: sometimes it's a stretching of the butthole as the corpse is railed posthumously)
Post-rock would be At the Drive In, The Mars Volta, or stuff like that.
