Almost all bands do it like that nowadays, it was only during the early 80s that bands had real marshall stacks because back then there where no fake ones.

Yes they had real ones and only plugged in one or two.

I recall when Megadeth played here they had them but they were turned low for ambience. Behind all the stacks was a single 25W amp and the P.A. was mic'd to the speaker of it.

What I found funny in the pic was the smoke machine outdoors during the day - they'd look like three dead guys at a barbecue.

I would like to have real ones and have them all plugged in on 11, when the front row of the crowd dies then it is loud enough
