Gamers Thread

Wii really loses its novelty after a while. A friend of mine bought one, we played a bunch for a few weeks and once it wasn't new or exciting anymore we saw it for how gimmicky it really is.

The system itself is very weak and many game developers have mentioned how frustrating it is trying to create a real solid game because of the systems inability to handle complex AI and other related things.

Yeah, it's not manly or a status symbol, so why bother?

.

Also, why bother with innovative things when you can play the newest retread of the latest football game with your frat boy buddies.

 I have played wii, it is such a shit system technically speaking. Games are alright, not much better than 360 though

Playing wii then playing my xbox 360 on a 50 inch HDTV is like going from a '95 honda civic to a 07 BMW M5. Often times I lose track that I am even playing a videogame when I am playing the 360 cause it's so fucking awesome (technically speaking).

Due to budget constraints, I've never bought loads of games for any system, so the lack of 3rd party development for the Wii doesn't bother me. Nintendo's games very rarely flop. Virtual Console is also pretty cool. In terms of value, the Wii destroys the other consoles, unless you count PS2. I might buy a Wii in a year or two.

360 is fucking amazing, these are real game pictures

fuckin' gorgeous.

I think the idea of what the WII does is awesome, and is only going to grow. Give it another 10 or so years, and video games are going to be insane.

Truth.

edit: Also, Dave should probably shut the fuck up. "Mainstream gamers blah blah". Sorry for not being in-touch with the "gaming community" and only playing games that entertain me.
