Because pretty much all good games in the future are going to wind up on the PS3, and because it does blue ray. You say you only care about games, but frankly I think you'll wind up wishing you had a built in Blue ray player in the near future.

PS3 will pwn 360 is what I believe. 360 has abit more games right now but mostly really boring games so it doesn't really matter (not that PS3 has any fun games either really though). And 360 is a badly designed console. It gets overheated, no built in harddrive, only dvd as storage format, etc. It will lack behind in notime.
Not all versions, which makes it impossible for developers to utilize it, because then everybody wont be able to play the game.First of all the 360 DOES have a built in hard drive.
For 4 year olds.

Because having 50gb storage instead of 8gb isn't any benefit when you develop games...If all he wants to do is play games, having a blu ray player does little to improve this. IMO, the 360 has more and better games than the PS3 currently and I don't foresee this changing even with the PS3's so-called big guns of MGS4 and FFXIII. Hell, even JRPGs, a genre that flourished on PS2 are being seen in more abundance and quality on the 360 and this won't be changing in the near future.
