Bumpity-bump.
I finished Half-Life 2, it was really great. I loved the levels where you could summon/control antlions with that squishy pod thing that was extracted from their queen.

I was thinking of getting either a 360 or PS3 and wondering what do people reckon? Both of them seem to have pretty much the same games with a few exceptions. Is one hugely better than the other? I've heard that 360's sometimes completely fuck up and it's hard to get them fixed, or something like that.

On the talk of Metroid Prime, it was a great game. I didn't think I would be able to get into it at first, but I kicked it's ass. If I ever wind up with my own Gamecube (doubt it) I would want to play the other two.

Final Fantasy's are the games to end all other games though

Understatement of the century. Unless you just have to have Halo 3 (because there are no other good FPS games ), then there's no reason to get a 360. If you can afford PS3, go for that.

I'd get a Wii first, honestly.

MasteroLightning is way off. The first run of 360's fucked up but there are no more problems. That has been fixed. The ps3 library is seriously lacking. It is a great piece of hardware that is not being used to its full potential. The Wii is gimmicky and gets old much sooner than you would think. As of right now, the 360 is the best console option.

Yeah I'm probably leaning toward the 360 at the moment, but only because it's a bit cheaper and also because apparently the 360 version of GTA4 is going to be the only one with downloadable extras.

i bought call of duty 4 modern warfare and its fucking great. its awesome - so intense and the graphics are some of the best ive ever seen on a console. i put it on the hardest difficulty and it's ridiculously challenging.

I'm more of a table-top RPG gamer, but as far as consoles go I'm a ps3 fanboy. I get a lot of hate for it, but I think they're flat out amazing, and tool all other systems. To bad all the games that were unique to that platform are going multiplatform. Gay greedy game-developing bastards *shakes fist*

one of the best games ever put out. story and graphics wise, i think its better than halo 3!
