Havent played it, but according to ign.com its 10/10 and is the best game since Zelda OoT. Thats saying something.

Also, is there any good Vampire or horror-themed third person video games for PC that are worthwhile?

Can't vouch for quality, but most of these are supposed to be pretty good:
Castlevania series
Alone In The Dark
Bloodrayne
Silent Hill series
Resident Evil series
