yup... clipper on master bus makes alot of distortion.
Well.... I guess I'm using the clipper in ozone on the master. Hmm.. So Joey, are you setting ozone on very fast or transparent or something?
I use the Stillwell Event Horizon. Imo it's the best & very transparent

I was using it in conjunction with the t-racks classic clipper but now I just use this.
I'm not looking for an alternative... I'm truly wanting to compare the Gclip to the BitCrusher on a Mac
Need more confirmation?

for the record, i dont use a clipper on the master bus
i use clipper on drums
Event Horizon is far from transparent. I have been an EH user for a long time and the past few months have been using other plug-ins on the master bus - definitely not transparent. It seems to slightly darken the sound and muddy up the low end a tad. Also other plugs can get me more volume, it cannot get as loud as Ozone4 on the master bus, for example.
I think everyone is missing the point of the start of this thread.
Did anyone ever get a real and easy solution to use GClip for Mac?
The _question_ on the first post was:
And the answers to that is: GClip doesn't work for Mac, but the T-Racks Clipper does with similar result.
I've used bit crusher, you can basically do the same thing. Just set it to 24bit, no downsampling, and increase drive. You can't push it as far as G-Clip, and I definitely wouldn't use it on the master bus. I think if I had to rank the plugs with my limited use of g-clip, its
G-clip > Tracks Clipper > Bitcrusher
