Geel gig

After this we got a special ‘band’ on stage. Danny Cavanagh (guitars) and Duncan Petterson (bass) were completed with Pim (vocals), Martin (drum) and Johan (guitars) from Officium Triste for a live version of the Anathema classic "Sleepless". Immediately the place was filled with people.

A pity they all went when Danny and Duncan were completed with Mick Moss to Antimatter. They were added last minute to the bill. For a handful of people they played an acoustic gig of 20 minutes. The band asked for silence, unfortunately the people in the café didn’t give a damn. So the doors were closed between the café and the hall. Still some assholes found it necessary to make some noise and it visually irritated the trio. But it didn’t stop them to play the songs with an immense beauty, full of emotion. Still they decided after a couple of songs to prefer the bottle of Tequila above their live appearance. Mainly because they couldn’t hear themselves playing their own songs. Shame on all of you who fucked up this gig, you shortsighted motherfuckers. This was doom in the purest. No heart feelings to the musicians, they tried to make the best of it. And they did; only it lasted too short.
