GSP doesn't have anything but speed to match up with Silva's perfection in the ring. Pound for Pound Silva is the BEST fighter in MMA. Hes got power, reach, probably the hardest and most brutal leg kicks I have ever seen in the UFC. GSP wouldn't want to take this fight to the ground cause he is no match for the superior Jiu-Jitsu of Silva. He doesn't want to keep it standing cause Silva will leg kick him till he cant walk any more then just take it to the ground anyway.

GSP I do feel is a bit faster then Silva. He has that "quickness off the line" that Silva doest have, but I don't think that alone can stop Silva.

EXACTLY.

I think everyone is just caught up in "GSP FEVER" and are forgetting just how absolutely savage silva can be. Silva is the best MMA fighter period. No one would ever debate that. Don't forget also that alot of people think that Silva Rope-a-Doped Sonnen cause Dana made a big stink about the abu dhabi incident and wanted him to have a real fight.
 
Yeah dont get me wrong man i have a great respect for GSP and im glad he shut down Cuntcheck! although it would be an amazing fight to watch, Silva would put the hurts to him.

I'd like to see that too. Sonnen's an idiot for taking the testosterone shots though. Seriously who thinks they can get away with that shit in this day and age? Regardless if its for medical reasons or not, he has to disclose that.
 
One big thing about GSP is that he fights incredibly smart fights. He always sticks to his game plan and exploits other fighters' weaknesses. He likely wouldn't stand with Silva b/c that's just dumb. He has arguably the best takedowns in MMA, and Silva has shown that he definitely can be taken down and even get mounted by people with lesser ground skills than GSP. I think GSP would be able to avoid a submission. Chael Sonnen totally had the right gameplan until he got lazy and got caught.


Most of Silva's highlight reels are from him fighting people who chose to stand and bang with him or stay in the clinch with him. In a pure standup fight he's pretty unstoppable...I just don't see GSP engaging in that kind of fight.

I think Jose Aldo is the real king of MMA. That dude is beyond sickening.
 
And let's not forget that Silva still has to beat Vitor. Vitor can beat anyone if his head's on right...unfortunately that's not the norm with him.
 
Ill give it to Aldo for being an exciting fighter, but I have yet to see him in the ring with anyone thats been better then average. Put the kid in the ring with some names namely someone like Diego Sanchez, I know they aren't in the same weight class but if Diego can cut and Aldo can add that would be fight of the century in my book.

In my opinion the only "name" he ever has fought is Nougira, and that was the kids first fight.

The Diego fight is a dream but there really isnt anyone in the featherweight divison worth a damn in my book. The kid needs to move up a class to get into some decent fighters.

EDIT: Ok maybe I will give him Brown as a name, but shit that fight was so unmemorable I forgot it happened ...lol

Faber's not a bad fighter by any means...a bit over-hyped but that's a pretty good feather in Aldo's cap. Aldo just reminds me of a small, more savage version of Silva. So damned fun to watch.

Diego and Aldo would definitely be awesome. Diego looked really fucking good his last fight. He's another one that's really great when his head is together.

A guy I trained with, Kamal Shalorus, is fighting Thursday night in the last WEC event. I always really enjoy the WEC events...the smaller weight classes are really fun to watch.
 
Faber is too inconsistent to be considered a good fighter. Granted he has lost to some top class guys, but still he just is not a "aldo / diego" type fighter.

It really sucks they are so far apart in weight class. If it was just 1 class it would definitely be a possibility considering Aldo sits on the top end of his class and sDiego sits on the low end of his ....

God what a fight that wold be ... OMG
