German thrash vs the world???

You know... When you make lists like these (God knows you make plenty), I often find myself wondering how many of these nobodies can possibly be worthwhile. I mean, there must be a reason as to why nobody normally bothers mentioning them.

Why the hell do you make posts like this?

Awwww, I'm sorry. Did I insult you and your known love for making really long lists of little bands with no worth at all that no one cares about?

You know, at least Dødens is intelligent enough to realize that it is nothing personal, and that some people can be critical to name dropping without having to make an issue of it.

You should listen to the bands that I listed that you haven't heard if you like German Thrash Metal. I know that I make a lot of lists, but I only do it because 1) I'm too lazy to actually type out descriptions (which I'm not very good at to begin with) and 2) nobody gives a shit anyway. Just look at the thread I made about Contemporary Old School Death Metal when I actually tried to describe bands.

Actually you should already know and luv most of the bands on that list

Testament is gay. The Legacy is okay for the most part. Killing Is My Business... rules.

I have that thread bookmarked, actually!

And I have no inherent problem with 'lists' in themselves, I merely questioned the value in name-dropping second-tier bands that have had no actual impact at all. That such innocent comment would spawn such controversy, I had no idea...

Slayer (their classic material, of course), Dark Angel, Sadus, Morbid Saint, and Rigor Mortis are/were the best US thrash bands IMO. I'm not really into stuff like Megadeth, Heathen, Laaz Rockit, Testament, Forbidden, etc.

Some critical sense wouldn't kill you, you know!

I have loads, and I also have quite good ears (except for the tinnitus) as well as a close to neverending hunger for killer metal.

I'll narrow that list down to the ones I know to be complete asskickers:

Kreator
Sodom
Destruction
Darkness
Assassin
Mekong Delta
Protector
Holy Moses
Living Death
Poison
Tankard
Exumer
Paradox
Deathrow

There's a few I don't think are true asskickers and some I haven't heard a lot and some I haven't heard at all there too of course, but with these your neck shall most definately be wrecked
