Getting rid of the annoying highend in guitars

why not using a second out of phase mic to cancel all the fizz, like fredman style?

Insert another POD instance, reverse its phase to cancel the fizz, and it'll be gone. All gone :)

I don't know about POD farm but working with real amps i tend to lowpass anywhere from 8k to 6.5k. Just lowpass it high enough without the tone getting dull. Or/and narrow the fizz and cut it out. It is usually around 4-5khz. If the tone is getting to dull you can always boost around 8k for some air.
