Hells yeah!!!! Canny wait!!!! Can't believe its actually nearlly time. I remember thinking when they were on their US tour "man theres still ages away", and now its upon us. If you look out for me, I'll be the one crying in passion, with black tears falling from my eyes, lol. What song are people looking forward to the most? Me and my mate are gonna go to a pub across from it, have a few wee cheeky pints and as soon as people start queing will try and get near the front. Although, I don't actually have tickets in my hand, cause I booked them on line and the willys have tryed sending them to me twice with no luck. They said though that I jsut need to tell them my reference number and credit card number and I'll get in. Has this happened to anyone before? And did you get in alright?

i'll be there, bought tickets ages ago to make sure there would be no doubt .... i wouldn't ever risk goin' to the venue door sayin i've bought tickets via the web.....................its glasgow man, the bouncer will tell u where to go, but good luck

cannae wait for OPETH :worship:

will c down the front, wrecked:rock:

Damn right I'll be there!!!!
I got into Opeth about 3 days after they last played Glasgow. Gutted!!! But now, finally, I have a second chance! Booked my tickets the day it was announced. They will come, and they will destroy all who came before. See you at the front!

Nooooooooo problem. Just phoned aloud.com, and they again confirmed that All I need to do is quote my reference and card number at the door and that this kind of thing happens quite alot. So now I can relax and look forward to what will be a glorious night! Wonder if Akerfeldt will comeout in a kilt? What songs are every one looking forward to the most? If they play them? For me I think the Moor and the Grand conjuration. See you all there

anyone like to suggest a setlist...................

the heavier the better.........................................................................

as long as they include demon of the fall & blackwater park........................

any others?????????????????????

Bleak would be good, but they wont play it. Is the set not pretty much guarenteed to include the following songs (in no order)?:
When,
Deliverance,
Blackwater Park
Drapery Falls
Demon Of The Fall
Baying Of The Hounds
Grand Conjuration
In My Time Of Need
To Rid The Disease
Face Of Melinda

Personally, I REALLY don't want them to play Face Of Melinda, but I can't really grumble. It's nowhere near my ideal setlist, but it will make me very happy nonetheless. I want (other than Bleak), Leper Affinity, Ghost Of Perdition, Serenity Painted Death and, in a better world, Advent. My friend really wants to see A Fair Judgement. But I'm sure Opeth know best! :worship:

I think mike should suprize us all and play one of the following: Wreath, The night and the silent water, Karma, Godshead Lament or Masters Apprentices.
I know he's said that he would never play TNATSW but imagine how suprized you would be if the started blasting it! It only seems to be us three that are going to the Glasgow gig on this forum? Oh yeah, and that poor guy who needs a ticket.

me thinks there will be more than that, i've got 2 tickets for 2 pals comin for edinburgh so thats 7 i know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

would love the masters apprentice, but as long as they play for 2 hours & it rocks, cool:rock:

see you guys down the front, except the guy with no ticket!

That....was.....fucking..
...

AWESOME!!!!!!!

From start to finish, blinding, with only one or two problems (Mendez was waaaaaaaay too loud, had to cut 'The Baying Of The Hounds', which I was looking forward to, Mike was ill, and Axenrot's drumming was, while good, not THAT good). But it was amazing. They played Bleak!!! And I never in a million years expected The Grand Conjuration to be THAT fucking awesome!!!! And...I never realised I liked White Cluster that much . An amazing night.

Mikael Akerfeldt -

'Hush now, children. We have released many albums.....and we are legends. You get that that's sarcasm, right? Good....but we ARE legends.'

'You know that film with the Scottish guy in it? Rob Roy? Yeah, well, this band I used to be in, called Bloodbath...yeah, if you listen to our first EP, you can hear me saying 'Rob Roy' repeatedly, but in a death metal voice, because it's perfect *adopts death metal growl* 'ROB ROY, ROB ROY, ROB ROY'!...You could say it's my tribute to Scotland.'

"You know, this is a song we've been meaning to play for a long time, mainly because it's like, the most obscure song we've ever done. Nobody seems to have heard of it, and even less people like it...it's probably about the most random, disjointed song you'll ever hear. It's called 'Under The Weeping Moon'" *cue enormous cheer from the crowd*

and, my favourite quote of all:

'Are you ready to cock rock?!?!?!?!'

thanks, lads, for a fuckin' special night :OMG: :worship:  :OMG:

Complete perfection! sound was great! loved it, apart from me not having anything to eat before the gig & had to sit down.:erk:

Atleast i got a better view of the band:Smug: and Mike looked at me, twice! so ha!
