@no country for old wainds : I actually think the opposite, RtL is very consistent imo and the only weaker link is Escape. MoP has the problem that not only some of the songs are weaker but the good songs sometimes are abit inconsistent too, like the title track for example drags on too much.
Still great obv I mean I put it on my list.

'trapped under ice' is pretty basic too, aside from the great bit in the middle. all matters of taste aside, both of those are less distinguished than anything on MoP to me. i think the title track of MoP is pretty much perfect though, paced exactly how it needs to be and never too repetitive--unlike, e.g., the title track of the follow up.

expanding, at random. i guess for non-classic years we may get less votes/interest, but those might be some of the more interesting threads for surprises and discovering different shit. i was bit surprised by destruction being so high and maiden missing out, plus i thought any of manilla road/vitus/ungol could've been higher given this forum's history, but this wasn't exactly an unexpected list in general even if it was an awesome one.

I'm not really into Nothing or Catch 33 (even though I acknowledge the former as one of their most important/influential/objectively-something albums) tho.
