Has always been one of my least favorite years for metal. Garbage albums from Iron Maiden, Queensryche, and Sodom, and pretty weak stuff from Slayer, Voivod, OSI, etc as well. The defining newer bands also are generally stuff I hate: from all that shitty prefixed black metal to all that shitty Scandi melogoth, from Mastodon's continued popular growth to power metal at its chuggiest (Persuader, Communic, Pharaoh). On the other hand, thanks to that year and my joining of a new Iron Maiden forum, I began downloading shittons of more underground 80s metal and ignoring what was popular, so there's a silver lining in everything.

99% sure they're wrong for once. Every other place has it listed as 2006 and you can even search this forum and see a bunch of people buying it circa May/June 2006, with no mentions of it previous.

I'm surprised this hasn't leaked yet. Although I own their first two CDs (I was at ProgPower, in the vendor section, and they were $8) I'll wait to hear the new one before I buy it. I can't say I'm crazy about either of the first two CDs.
