So the song survivor has technically ended in a double elimination of both Flight of Icarus and To Tame a Land, leaving Where Eagles Dare as the canonical winner. But let's pretend for a moment that Baroque didn't arbitrarily change his vote from Flight of Icarus to To Tame a Land just to piss Phylactery off, leaving us with the dramatic face-off between the two epic bookends that we all hoped for.

Since this is the final round, we are voting for the winner, not the song that should be eliminated. The poll will close in 3 days.

i think my favourite parts of this album are on 'still life' tbh. not so much the chorus or the solo but much of the rest is just shivery good. shame it didn't get further.

@no country for old wainds I know what you mean, that song was my favorite on the album once. For a while while I was burnt out on Maiden, that song just kept growing and growing on me. It's atmospheric in a way Maiden usually isn't, and the way it picks up in urgency with every verse is just fantastic.

Still Life (between the verses and under the chorus) has the very best riffs in their discography imo, closest thing they have to that twisted Mercyful Fate-style riffing.
