Going for an As I Lay Dying-ish tone with my POD... what do you think?

First try with my new patch. It's a very simple clip... nothing out of the ordinaire as far as music. I'm not sure I like how it came out, to be honest... Oh well, I'm thinking I need less mids in there, and my mix still sounds sooooo small compared to the As I Lay Dying one...

What do you think?

You're right, less mids would be good. I wouldn't be afraid to stick some sort of distortion pedal in front of the amp (don't forget to turn down the pregain on the amp!) to make the distortion sound 'wetter'. Tubes give really tight and compressed sound, distortion pedals make it really loose and...wet.

I don't know if you're being sacastic, sorry if you are, but this isn't really a 'real' amp, and on my POD, there's already a screamer boosting the triple recto model.
