Good BlackMetal Bands?

GRAVEWORM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

such a fucking good symphonic black band.. if you like earlier dimmu/cof stuff you'll love this. So fucking good. Their new album is great too but I haven't heard all of it. you REALLY have to hear this band if you haven't already.

The music is great, but don't read the lyrics. I think I could write better lyrics than that, and that is saying something.

I recommend John Mayer and Ryan Adams...

j/k

I recommend Satyricon and Darkthrone. I do not recommend CoF. Dani's voice is horrible IMO.

Being hungover and lazy, I've not read through the topic, but will drop some Names:

Dark Fortress
Golden Dawn
Dawn
And Oceans
Notre Dame
Primordial
Taake
Ulver
Throes of Dawn
Satyricon
Vordven
Wyrd
Solefald
Forgotten Woods

well, that's also about all the back metal I listen to.

Primordial black metal ?_?

Lol let's not start another genre-war
It's too vague anyway

right, I don't care anyway.
seriously, if not wanting to resort to things like "epic celtic pagan folk metal with thrashy and blackish tinges" Primordial are black metal.

If Cradle fit, Primordial fit too.

keeping it easy,

That sounds great! You just left out "Irish" :p

Primordial: Irish pic celtic pagan folk metal with thrashy and (little) blackish tinges.

Now we're getting somewhere :loco:

(Easy? Nevar! Why do something easy when it can be done difficult? It gives more problems and more fun! ..Sorry, I blame my school. It should be more difficult, and thought-through  )

"Is melodic gothenburg metal more melodic than just gothenburg metal?"

my current handling of genre stems from the way my music folders are organized, and there, well, simple is good :)

Primordial is WAY more black metal than Cradle of Filth. I wouldn't really call them pure black metal though they used to have a few songs dealing with Satan and such on their first album.

Either way, Primordial is excellent.
