Thread title pretty much says it all. NormallyI track guitars with a boss ns-2 but I'd rather have a totally clean DI going in. I'm trying to eliminate the ns-2 but I want clean guitar tracks without having to edit out noise or send my tracks back out of the box. I plan on using Podfarm for reamping and we all know the gate on that sucks.

If I had the money for a decimator I would definitely buy one, but I'm broke, so I'm looking for a free or relatively cheap ITB solution.

reagate has worked for me and is free!

even if you dont use reaper you can still get it man!

blockfish, floorfish and spitfish get used regularly on my mixes, so yeah, i'd say theyre pretty good

I've always used Ggate since it's so simple and seems to do the job well. Also have reagate and Floorfish, I'll have to give them a spin some time.

Here is a new free one - the developer missed the KVR developers challenge entry so he just decided to release it. http://www.savioursofsoul.de/Christian/?page_id=53#NoiseReduction
