Good Sounding National Albums recorded w/ LINE 6

can I have a list of some good sounding National Artists that used Line6 , like the Hd147 or Pod XT (pro or not) on their albums???

I was talking to someone about Line6 stuff, they think solidstate is horrible, but I've heard some EXCELLENT stuff on this board using Line6. Just wondering if their are any major albums I could rub in the guy's face!? haha:lol: :rock:
 
Porcupine Tree's "Deadwing"....that's mostly clean/crunch tones from a PODXT mixed with high gain tones from a Marshall (according to Steve Wilson)

I'm fairly sure Paradise Lost's last album is Line 6 HD.
 
you're dead on with PT, also their newest, Fear of a Blank Planet is marshall dirty tones but everything else is a pod. BTW the album is beautiful, I can't wait to buy it.

Meshuggah's Catch 33 is a Vetta II head, as wells as NIN's With Teeth which has a really unique tone for the majority of the album.
 
Crossfade's self titled album used all Line 6 stuff (Pods and amps) Not my style of music at all, but it answers your question.

I don't think Evanescence used Line 6 in the studio, did they? I thought it was Mesas. And, I know the newer guitar player since Ben Moody left plays Mesas. John Lecompt may still be a Line 6 guy, but I don't know much about that band.

God Forbid IV and Machine Head's last 2 I think used Line 6 Flextone II HD's for added thickness (even though the main tone was 5150).

Jim, you wouldn't happen to know what his rig was for the Grip Inc. stuff, would you? I've heard he used a Digitech pre, I forget the model; it's the purple one (2101? 2012? something like that...) with a couple tubes in it. I would guess Recto myself from the sound of it, but I'm not entirely sure. It's a killer tone, whatever it is.

The production on the Grip Inc. stuff is stunning. Crystal clear and massive sounds. I've heard him say it's all analog, too; the mix and everything.

It's funny, I would have sworn up down and sideways it was the Recto model on the older (not XT) Pod from the sound of it. Seriously, that was the first thing I thought of when I heard that tone- "hey, it's a Pod on the Recto setting!" Why you'd make a modded 800 and a Tremoverb sound like a Pod, I have no clue, but...

I saw a vid on you tube, it looked like he had 2 Digitech Legend II + 5150. I've had a lot of good Digitech stuff and i could never make them sound good, at least not for anything heavy.
