good technical death metal

My list of technical death metal bands I like and I like to think are good:

1.Cryptopsy (no albums as of yet from these guys but got some mp3's from them, though.)
2.Suffocation (Effigy of the Forgotten is best major label debut I ever heard, IMO, I recently purchased this one. This is my first album from them.)
3.Nile...maybe (dunno if they fall under technical, but good though)

Thats all I can think of off the top of my head.

Well, most straight-up death metal is going to contain things like that... Nile Dim-Mak, and Decapitated come to mind as "clean" death metal bands, with my personal favorite being the latter. For not so clean... Origin, Cryptopsy, Vehemence, Bloodbath...

Thanks for the support Elysian Blaze, and yes I enjoy bands that are Melodic Death Metal, some that cross over to black such as:

A CANOROUS QUINTET, WITHOUT GRIEF, EMBRRACED, DISBELEIF, MUTANT, THEORY IN PRACTICE, GOREFEST, BLOODBATH, ENTOMBED, EDGE OF SANITY, ILL DISPOSED and SYMBYOSIS

Nice to see we still have Pierced From Within supporters around!

or are they too diverse to be classified as tech death?

Try Mutant, side project for guys from Theory in Practice. And Extol, if you can get around the religion.

And it's not death metal, but if you don't have Spiral Architect's "A Sceptic's Universe" yet I will ask Thunderbolt to fuck you in the ear.

If one wants music in the vein of Spiral Architect, definitely check out Watchtower. Much older and much better version of Spiral Architect.

Dying Fetus is alright. Very brutal technical DM, with lyrics that are very political a lot of the time.
